I would have to agree with Erth, you should not need 49 exposures to cover the whole depth of a louse. Have you tried increasing the contrast window size? I don't think it will work, because my depth of field is so short that I need all those exposures if I'm going to see everything. EnfuseGUI is a front-end for Enfuse, making the process of blending. Have you tried enfusing again with less exposures in the mix? Enfuse can also be used for other purposes like night photography and focus stacking. It looks like there are far too many exposures for what you are trying to achieve, every little flaw and issue that your lens might have are stacked up, and the result is a lack of contrast and too much haze.
